• How to use your Palm Wax Candle

Why Palm Wax?  Like many other tropical crops, palm oil was at one point harvested in a manner that was destructive to the environment.  Over the past decade, however, the RSPO (Roundtable for Sustainable Palm Oil) has developed a way to harvest the high-yielding, non-GM fruit in a way that makes very little impact on the ecosystem.   Since it is harvested from a fruit, it can simply be hand-picked without clear cutting a forest.  This also means that it will continuously grow back as long as the trees are healthy and intact.  The RSPO also ensures that workers get fair-trade values for their crop.  The company which provides the palm wax for our candles is a member of RSPO, and upholds the policies we value.  In addition to all this, palm wax candles burn cleaner than paraffin.  They are long-lasting (at home, we’ve burned one of our large candles over 70 hours!)  And, palm wax dodges one of the greatest complaints of other natural waxes by having both a strong scent when lit or at room temperature. Our caps are also perforated to allow fragrance to diffuse even when the candle is not light.In addition our slow cooling process, allow for the candles to develop unique, attractive and beautiful patterns in our clear glass jars; swirling crystalline patterns which glow and flicker from the candle's flame. Palm Wax Candles are clearly in a league of their own.

How to use your Palm Wax Candle

• Be sure to remove the lid, ribbon, and tag for the duration of the burn.
• Trim Wick to ¼ inch.
• Aim to burn the candle 4 hours at a time.  Let the wax cool after 4 hour maximum.
• Burn safely on flat fire-resistant surface.
• Alternatively, candle can be left unlit with or with out vented cap for a discrete scent.
• Enjoy your beautiful, aromatic, eco-conscious candle!!
